brent katz

so one of my best friends in the world, possibly the funniest kid i've ever known, is an extremely talented and beautiful musician. his name is brent katz, and he played drums in the former best indie band out around, the harlem shakes.

i've been sitting on this for months (since around november) because it wasn't remastered when he gave it to me, but if and when he ever actually puts out his first solo album, i HIGHLY recommend picking it up. it's a great pop album. it has a diverse range of songs, some cute and sweet (jupiter, florida), others somewhat creepy (haunted prison), each one more brilliant and clever than the last (i especially love track 9, agent's song).

the album is untitled as far as i know, so i can't really help you out there. i dont even know if he's released it/is planning to. i hope that he does, though, because i think it's incredible and it would be a shame if he didn't share it with the world.

keep in mind, it's unlike a lot of his former projects and the work he did with the harlem shakes. but you won't be disappointed.

favorite tracks:

kangaroo court
haunted prison
agent's song
jupiter, florida
